" Faces Unseen "
At first it looks like pure geometry: diamonds, stripes and angles in cobalt blue, burnt orange, deep green and metallic gold, all locked together by strong dark lines. Look longer and faces begin to appear, a profile on the left, a figure on the right and a watchful eye at the center.
Faces Unseen is about the people who are there all along but rarely noticed. It hangs in Skylar's room in the series, the space of a young man who feels out of place in the world around him. Like him, the faces in this piece are easy to miss, but once you see them, you can't unsee them.
