She faces you directly, steady and patient, with clear blue-green eyes that have seen a lot and are still watching. Her face glows in gold, orange, and soft white, as if lit from within, and a garland of pink flowers falls around her shoulders like an offering.
Woman Who Sees and Waits is a portrait of the artist’s mother. Behind her is a dream world made just for her: a pink stream running through blue grass under a red moon. It is a place of calm and quiet wonder, a world built out of love.
She doesn’t rush and she doesn’t look away. She sees, and she waits. It is a portrait of patience, wisdom, and the steady presence of a mother.
