A dreamcatcher is made to hold dreams. Dream Lady turns that around: here, she is the dream.
A gold hoop frames her like the ring of a dreamcatcher. Its border is a woven band of greens, blues, and deep magenta, and inside it, white lines fan out like a web. But nothing is caught in this web except her. She rises out of the circle in flowing contours of green, blue, teal, magenta, and gold, as if her own thoughts are spilling over the edge. She isn’t trapped in someone else’s dream. She is lost in her own imagination, and she doesn’t want to be found.
The figure is drawn in layered outlines that ripple outward like echoes, so she seems to shift and move the longer you look. Against the quiet grey ground, every line of color comes forward like light.
Dream Lady is about the inner world: the space where imagination takes over and a person becomes the thing they dream.
